Nostalgia isn't what it used to be

the friday night crew
How do you like the paraprosdokian phrase I used in this post's title? I learned yesterday that a paraprosdokian phrase or sentence is a figure of speech where the ending of the phrase is completely unexpected. I'm going to work on making up some of my own this weekend.

It's also baby birthday extravaganza this weekend. Pete's nephew, Nathaniel, is turning one. We're celebrating on Saturday. My niece, Anna, is turning four. I can't believe it! I may celebrate with her on Sunday or take her out next weekend.

Hopefully, I can get some pictures of this weekend's outfits.

In the meantime, this is a favorite photo of mine taken by my buddy, Elliott. It features Jesse, the Mexican Amish, me, in vintage Vera, Elliott and Bandit, sporting serious faces. I sure do miss dancing around the living room with these boys. But we get older, and it's never quite the same.

Thanks friends for all the nice comments on my previous post where I shared that I was feeling less than sunny. I think I'll be feeling better soon. most things are just a matter of perspective.

Have a great weekend!
