Happy Friday, buckaroos. Do you have any exciting plans this weekend? I'm going to try and pick up my room, which I've been working on rather unsteadily for like 6 months. Other than that, I’m going dancing at Secret Affair (until it gets too crowded) tonight, to a baby shower tomorrow (this is the year of the baby), and I hope to run on the beach (my new Nike Free running shoes are the best!) and/or go to yoga this weekend. I also want to sketch out some of my cowgirl outlaw design ideas. Talk to you soon.

Outfit: vintage 60s olive shift dress w/turquoise collar and ascot tie (Elsewhere Vintage, Orange Circle), Cole Haan loafers (thrifted).

fall colors

the cutest truck I've ever seen. for sale too, but unfortunately not enough room in it for all the babies in my life.

How beautiful is my best friend's mid century neighborhood?! We walked around it on a crisp day, admiring all the amazing architecture, oversized cactus, palm fronds, and trees. I was most struck by all the sweet vintage rides. I am definitely going to do a better photo shoot around her neighborhood soon.

Thanks to Desi for taking my photo with my point & shoot Olympus.

Outfit: teal overalls, 80s cheetah body suit, 60s mohair sweater, Bass oxfords (everything thrifted).

mid century suburbia in Southern California

My best friend and her husband just bought their first home and it's a mid century dream - an Eichler. Located in an Eichler enclave, on a cul-de-sac street frozen in time, upon beholding it, I couldn't help but think of all the outfits I would wear and photograph in and around her house, taking over her neighborhood for my amusement and yours. This editorial from Paris Vogue showcases a fancy gal living out my daydreams.
